Well

The house is coming along nicely. We would be almost done with the outside of it (as far as hanging stuff goes) if the shingles would show up. But, they are no where to be found. I noticed with our house I have been a little more moody with the people that are helping. An example would be this lady that is hanging the siding, keeps missing the stud when she is nailing it is. So, those nails have to be pulled and re punched into the siding where she thinks the stud is. We then end up with siding with holes all over it. Then someone has to go around and use caulking to fill all the holes. I try to help but they get pissy. This is also the lady that brings her contractor boyfriend that comes in and screws up everything because he doesn't want to do it the way Enrique wants it done (not sure if I spelt his name right).

I am getting really burnt out on building already. I miss Frank all the time. I miss us going and doing this as a family. Most the time Bowen is with one of us but not both. I have to keep telling myself it will only be a few more months and then we can move out. That's only if everyone keeps putting in their hours.

Sorry, don't mean to go off on a rant.

I had a pretty good weekend. Went and put in 16 hours building on Saturday. I have some new pictures I am going to post. Then we went to the pool afterwards for about an hour. That was really nice after being out in 100 degree weather all day.

On Sunday I went with Geni out to the Junction Motor Speedway to watch her husband race. Although I didn't really watch much of the race, Bowen sure had a great time going up and down the cement with his motorcycle. His hair is all spiky because he refused to wear his hat and so I had to put sunscreen on his head.

here are some pictures of the house and Bowen. Hope everyone is doing good.

**** Also, Bekka, I am thinking of you. I hope your doing well. I know that baby should be coming any day now. I will try to make it up after you have it. Just hard finding time now a days. Love you guys****

Well I tried to upload more pictures and it wont let me.. will try again in a bit.

Too Hot

I tell ya, I don't have ANY idea how I lived in Las Vegas for 3 years. Looked on weather.com and it got up to like 114 the other day. Screw that. I am dyeing in 95 degree weather. In Las Vegas though we had a pool. People in the ghetto have a pool. You could not survive with out it.

I sure do miss living down there. I got to experience a lot of things that I wouldn't had otherwise. Some good and some bad. It was a good change for me. Things were getting rough here in Colorado when I decided to move down to Las Vegas with my sister. I tell you, my father was sure pissed off.

I got a job (not a good one) making great money. More money then I have ever made including now. I got to see some great shows and just experience life in a big city.

A friend of mine is blogging about her life in NYC. How she was born for the big city. I can really relate to that. I have never felt more alive and at home when I was in Las Vegas. At the same time I desperately wanted to be close to my dad and my other sister.

One thing led to another and I ended up back in Colorado taking care of my grandmother. I have been here ever since.

Now that we are building a house I suppose it will be quite some time before I uproot myself and leave. I am thinking closer to Denver would be nice. Maybe Colorado Springs.

On a different note: Building is coming along. We got all the sheeting up and were getting ready to have the contractors go in and start doing the plumbing and the electrical stuff. Once that happens, we cans start the siding and the shingles. Exciting stuff.

I hurt my back pretty bad so I have been taking it easy. Went to the chiropractor yesterday and it feels a little better now.

I hope to have some more pictures by the end of the week to post for everyone.

Happy Hump Day!

Rough past few weeks

Thought I would update everyone on how Bowen is doing. He is doing great. He was really sick this past week. Kept puking and couldn't hold anything down. Not even fluids. So, we ended up in the ER twice both to give him IV's, then up to Pediactrics so that he could be observed over night. 6-7 days of puking was really excessive.

He is doing great now. Back to his old self again. Not really sure what he was sick with. Frank and I didn't get sick at all. Not sure what it was.

Here are a few pictures. Hope everyone has a good week.

This is Paris. My nephews hampster. We really like her. We decided to take some pictures because I have never seen them with sooo much food in their mouth. Then she would go run on here wheel and she barely fit. LOL

Bowen eating cereal for the first time. He did WONDERFUL. He just loves eating it all the time now. Just so people know, he has his first eye doctors appointment coming up next Monday. Their going to diagnose his Ptoses. I hope there is some way to correct it.

What a big boy wearing mom's shoes.

Mommy and Bowen. He was sick when this was taken. Really not feeling well. My poor boy. I hope he NEVER gets sick like that again.

Last but not least my wonderful husband Frank. I love you baby.

We have a house

Well it has been a few weeks since my last update. Been very busy building and working. Frank put in his 2 week notice. HAHA suckers. He got a real good job with a distributing company and were very excited and scared for the change.

We are making GREAT progress with the house. We went from an empty lot:

To actually having something to look at! It is great. I was up on our house roof yesterday laying down the tar paper. What a pain in the you know what that is. Frank looked pretty buff on one of the other houses laying the shingles. Needless to say by the end of the day we were wiped out. Good thing my Mom was in town to help out and stuff. Thanks mom, we love you and miss you already.

Here's some pictures of the work we have done so far. We have one house almost done on the outside. Pretty exciting stuff.

I will post some new pictures of Bowen and us later in the week. Have a good one.
