Lawlessness, Despair Overtake Big Easy

First off I would like to say that my hear goes out to everyone in the Golf Coast.Secondly how upset I am that more security measures weren't taken. There are no words for a picture like this. All I can think about is what I would have done.

Browsing around other peoples bloggs I was surprised to see that not many were talking about what happened. Mostly about their college classes and stupid rich kids complaining that their mother took away their cell phone because they weren't responsible. Then if you look on the television all you hear about is the looting people are doing and if you watch local networks the bar at the bottom of Everybody Loves Raymond with the updates on the Gulf Coast. Nice to know that they are keeping up on the coverage!. I will say I got to read one blog today about a man who was over there and got out. He talked about what stuff he was going to take and what he would leave. Trying to decide if he should put his stuff on the first floor just in case the roof caves in, or would it be better on the second floor because it might flood. Then I think back all I thought about most of this after noon is how nervous I was about going to choir classes since it had been so long. I guess that's why I live in Colorado. Rather it be dry then have to paddle a boat across the street to go use the restroom! As far as gas prices, I am sure the picture above says everything. Here's the last thing I will say:

Give early, give often. Even if you can only give a few dollars, every little bit will help. Check with your employer to find out if they match charitable donations. Avoid "Calamity Scams" by giving to established relief organizations.

I got out of my comfort zone today!

Well, after much debate I took up my sister Athenas offer to join the Women's Choir at Mesa State College. I was defiantly nervous, then they had me sit in alto. So, I am trying to figure out how to sing this ,I think French, song and I am just not getting it. Flushed I giggle and just sit there cause I don't want to sound like total shit. So, I just decided after the class to tell the teacher that I think alto was to low for me. So she had me sing, and boy was it hard. But she said I sounded good and put me in 2nd soprano. So, I decided to stay with it. I think being in the choir will also help me not smoke cause I have been struggling with that lately. I will be going to classe Mon,Wed and Fri. Think it will help me with getting motivated for school next year because I really want to start.

Then Athena gave me this thing called Wallet Cards. At the top it say "Sister Wishes" and this is what it said:

May these wishes keep coming true.
I want us... To always be so close.
To share everything with nothing ever coming between us.
To trust and talk things out.
To nurture each other's spirit and warm each other's soul.
To be assured, even when no one else knows what's going on inside...That we will gently understand.
And wherever you go, you will be in my heart, and my hand will be in your hand.
Katie Russell
I just thought I would share with you guys just how much something like this means to me. Cause there are times when you just feel lost. Athena really pushed me to join choir. I wasn't sure why, but I know now. I know its cause she's out side the box and could tell that I really needed to start my life again. To start some new things. So, thank you Athena. I love you.

Then tonight I was babysitting for my sister Athena and its hard to believe her oldest is going to be 10 on Thursday. He's already girl crazy, can only imagine how he will be when he gets into High School. Hopefully He's nothing like me or his mother!!

Sorry it has been so long.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. A lot has gone on in the past month and a half that I have just been so busy. First off we went to Gillett, PA for vacation to see franks family. That was great. We were there for a whole week and he got to see his daughter Bailey. I got some pictures of Bailey and Bowen together as well. Bowens 1st birthday was on July 7th. I know I should have posted about it sooner but 2 days after it we left for vacation. I got some good pictures of him eating his cake and whatnot. It was a happy day as well as a sad one. Its a time when you finally realize how precious the first year is. I can say for sure that I am already itching to have another one but Frank wants to wait. What a pooper. LOL

After we got back from vacation, (actually about 2 weeks)my sister Leora went into labor way early (at 24 weeks) and gave birth to beautiful twin boys names Hayden and Christopher. But Hayden died just one short week after he was born. It is still very hard to talk about. I spent a lot of time with him in the first week and its never easy to let go of someone you love. So, for those of you who are believers, please just say a prayer for my sister leora and her little angel Christopher. That he stay healthy and that she is able to stay strong. As of now he is not even 2 weeks old. I will post some pictures when I can. If you would like to see pictures and read the story of their birth, please visit www.mavnet.com/jrweb You can leave some feedback on their site and see pictures of the babies Well, not sure what else to write,. My friend holly has started doing a list of 100 things about herself. I think I might give it a try. LOL... Not to sure how I will do. Also, a CONGRATULATIONS is due for my friend Holly( http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=velvrose ) and her engagement. its about time girlfriend. LOL.. Love you lots and hope to see you soon.
